Biography:
Eiman Rahnama is CEO of Safety Compliance Experts, an AGD Pace Provider and Consultant since 2006, works with dental and medical practices, consulting and implementing OSHA and HIPAA guidelines. Safety Compliance Experts have worked with more than 2,000 offices and delivered more than 1,000 lectures to more than 10,000 dentists, medical professionals, and their staff. Their goal is to safeguard the thousands of dental and medical offices consulted, so as to assist all clients to be more efficient, business-savvy, customer-service oriented, and therefore, thriving in their business and careers. As CEO of Safety Compliance Experts, he and his staff assist practices in implementing OSHA and HIPAA.

CDPA
Biography:
J. Sean Dumm is the founder of the Law Offices of J. Sean Dumm, located in San Clemente, California. Sean’s practice focuses upon the representation of dentists and their practices in an array of business matters including regulatory compliance, incorporations, start ups, practice transitions, employment matters, partnership agreements and commercial leasing and real estate matters. Sean also has a background in estate planning. Sean received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and graduated with honors from Washburn University School of Law in 2000. He is admitted to practice law in multiple states including California. His presentation today will draw upon his background to discuss the legal aspects of the profession of dentistry.
Course Description:
This course meets the requirements of the Dental Board of California for the California Dental Practice Act (CDPA) including Business and Professions Code sections 1600 et seq., related regulations, and other statutes related to the practice of dentistry and those acts in violation of the CDPA. The course includes information on the structure of the Dental Board, its governing bodies, and information regarding citations, fines, license suspensions and revocation.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon Completion the participant shall be able to define "dentistry" and understand the limits and supervision required of allied dental health professionals. The Participant shall have a thorough understanding of the Dental Board's enforcement of laws, regulations and the disciplinary process. The Participants will be able to understand obligations of a mandatory reporter, identify signs of abuse and form a procedure for reporting.
